Mt Rainier:  Emmons Glacier

Emmons Glacier Climb 2012: June 10-14  (2 spots remaining)

The Emmons is the largest Glacier in the contiguous United States.  This Classic mountaineering route to reach the top of the most sought after summit in Washington state is a safer and less crowded option than the Muir Snowfield.  With a 4 day Itinerary you will experience ample acclimatization time and very scenic ambiance as we ascend one of Americas favorite mountains.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Day 1 6/10 – 7:00AM Meet at Client hotel in Seattle. Introductions, gear check and last chance to buy items. Drive to White River Trailhead. Hike to Inter-Glacier and camp.

2. Day 2 6/11 – 6AM wake up. Breakfast followed by skills review in and around camp. Pack up and leave camp mid day. Arrive at camp Sherman early afternoon. Set camp, have dinner, followed by summit day prep and early to bed.

3. Day 3 6/12 – 12AM wake up. Approximately 1AM leave camp for summit climb. Camp at Sherman

4. Day 4 6/13 – Leisure wake up. After a small meal and hydration, we pack up camp and descend to the car.
